Xetma Vollenweider is one step ahead in Soft Touch finishing. Besides the standard technologies Xetma Vollenweider recently launched new types of technologies, which allow to achieve by far better surface effects than with the standard technologies offered by any other supplier.



The “Rose Petal Touch” – Combined Brushing + Emerizing


The combination of the technologies Brushing + Emerizing at the same time in one process creates Soft Touch effects with a unique high density and a remarkable softer touch than any conventional single technology treatment offered by other machine makers.

Xetma Vollenweider developed the combined Brushing + Emerizing technology based on decades of experiences in emerizing and brushing. Today we are the only supplier who can offer this innovative finishing process in a drum-type machine.

For the combined Brushing + Emerizing 6 brushing rollers – equipped either with Carbon or with Ceramic brushes – are combined with 6 emery rollers in a ratio 1:1. Depending on the kind of fabric to be threated it can be equipped with Classic Emery, DiaStar (Diamond) Emery or Endura Emery.

The surface effects which can be produced with the combined Brushing + Emerizing impress by a very high density and a unique soft touch with great volume. But absolutely no hairiness can be seen on the fabric surface.

Typical applications for the “Rose Petal Touch” are light shirting fabrics, either piece dyed or colour woven, and bottom weight wovens as well as circular and warp knitted fabrics. Due to the special tension control system the Xetma Vollenweider machines can handle all the range of fabric weights – from light to heavy and high percentages of lycra materials as well.


Moreover, the use of this combined technology, where brushing and emerizing rollers are alternately engaged, achieves definitely higher production speeds than with the one-way technologies of other machine systems available in the market. According to our experience the production speed is about 25-30% higher compared to single process technologies of all other suppliers.
